Prambanan TWC closed again

To support the acceleration of controlling the spread of COVID-19 in Klaten Regency, the Prambanan Tourism Park (TWC) tourist destination has been closed again.

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) has again closed the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park (TWC) destination. The closure, which began June 30, 2021, and will last until July 5, 2021, is a follow-up to the Klaten Regent's Circular Letter No. 443.5/418/13 concerning the Acceleration of Controlling the Spread of COVID-19 in Klaten Regency, Central Java.

This action was taken following the surge in confirmed COVID-19 cases, which placed Klaten in the red zone. PT TWC, the state-owned enterprise managing the destination area, supports the Klaten Regency Government's efforts to suppress COVID-19 transmission in its region by closing the operations of TWC Prambanan.

We are confident that we can get through this together," explained PT TWC Corporate Secretary, Emilia Eny Utari, in Sleman, Yogyakarta, Tuesday (June 29, 2021).

PT TWC will continue to monitor the situation and further developments. "We will continue to coordinate with the COVID-19 task force to assess the current situation and conditions in Klaten. We are doing our best to support recovery from this pandemic," continued the Head of the PT TWC COVID-19 Task Force.

During this closure, PT TWC continues to implement preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. This includes maintaining environmental cleanliness in the destination area.

"This demonstrates our commitment to maintaining a comfortable and safe environment, in accordance with the CHSE certification from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, which we have received at all our destinations," he said.
