Chinese New Year at the Temples Brings a Meaningful and Hopeful Atmosphere to the Destinations of Borobudur and Prambanan Temples

The Barongsai that performed at Prambanan was from the Winongo Dragon Barongsai Association. Meanwhile, the Barongsai that performed at Borobudur Temple was from the Jogja Panbers Association.
This typical Chinese New Year attraction is presented not only to entertain tourists, but also as a form of respect and introduction to one of the traditions that exist in Indonesian society.
This performance will be accompanied by the sound of drums and thunderous cymbals, a traditional sound that is believed to be effective in driving away bad luck and marking the beginning of a new chapter that is clean and full of enthusiasm.
Chinese New Year at the Temple presents Wishing Wall Installation At Borobudur and Prambanan Temples, visitors are invited to write prayers and hopes on wish cards. These cards serve as visual symbols of their aspirations for love, health, happiness, and good fortune in the new year, in keeping with the temple's philosophy as a place of worship and contemplation.
