PT TWC Closes Tourist Destinations It Manages in Support of Emergency PPKM Implementation

Following up on the directive of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, as stated in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 15 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Emergency Restrictions on Community Activities due to Covid-19 in the Java and Bali Regions, PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko (Persero) is closing all destinations under its management. This is in full support of the policy implemented from July 3 to 20.

"We fully support the government's policy and have instructed all tourist destinations and the supporting facilities we manage to temporarily close. This is a form of support for the central government's primary focus on suppressing the spread of Covid-19," said PT TWC President Director Edy Setijono at TWC's headquarters in Sleman, Yogyakarta, on Friday (July 2, 2021).

PT TWC hopes that this Emergency PPKM (Restrictions on Public Activities) can curb the spread of COVID-19, allowing tourism to revive and community activities to return to normal. "This effort must be fully supported so that conditions can return to normal. Access can be reopened, mobility can resume, and people can travel comfortably. We certainly hope this can happen soon," he concluded.

During the closure of the destinations, PT TWC will remain committed to ensuring that all destinations and supporting facilities continue to implement strict health protocols by disinfecting and maintaining the cleanliness of the destination areas in accordance with the CHSE (Clean, Health, Sustainable Environment) certification standards of the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, which have been accepted by all PT TWC destinations.
