The 2025 Candi Candle Operation Roll Call Supports Smooth Visits to Borobudur Temple

Ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations, the Magelang Police held a roll call for the 2025 Candi Candle Operation Troops in the Kalpataru area, Marga Utama, Borobudur Temple, Friday (12/19/2025). The roll call was led by Magelang Regent Grengseng Pamuji and Magelang Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Herbin Sianipar.

This operation will last for 14 days, from December 20, 2025, to January 2, 2026, involving 507 joint personnel from the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), local governments, and relevant stakeholders. This activity aims to ensure security, order, and smooth traffic flow during the year-end holiday period. 

Magelang Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Herbin Sianipar, stated that traffic management in tourist areas, especially Borobudur Temple, will be implemented situationally and accompanied by traffic engineering if there is an increase in vehicle volume. 

This step was taken to support the smooth mobility of the community and tourists, considering that Magelang Regency is a strategic route during the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

"Optimizing the 110 Call Center Service. In addition to deploying troops in the field, the Magelang Police are also strengthening security through digital technology infrastructure. The 110 Call Center service is now optimized as the frontline for responding quickly to reports from the public and tourists," he explained.
