A Meaningful Ramadan: Sharing Happiness at the Daarul Ihsan Orphanage in Prambanan, Sleman
The holy month of Ramadan is a month full of blessings, bringing with it a variety of good deeds through sharing and fostering relationships. InJourney Destination Management demonstrated this by donating to the Daarul Ihsan Orphanage in Bokoharjo, Prambanan, Sleman, on Tuesday (February 24, 2026).
This event, designed to foster a sense of togetherness and create a meaningful Ramadan, featured various exciting activities, including a coloring competition for elementary school children and a young preacher competition (pildacil). The event concluded with the distribution of Ramadan gifts and gifts to all the children at the Daarul Ihsan Bokoharjo Orphanage.
"This activity is a form of appreciation and warm greetings to the Daarul Ihsan orphanage for allowing us to conduct our activities. May this bring blessings and happiness to all of us, while also serving as a forum for strengthening ties during this blessed month," explained Indung Purwita Jati, Director of Operations at InJourney Destination Management, when opening the event.
The warm atmosphere and enthusiasm were palpable as dozens of children from the orphanage participated in a series of exciting activities. InJourney Destination Management encouraged the children to hone their creativity and courage through several competitions, including a coloring contest for elementary school-aged children, allowing them to express their imaginations on paper.
Meanwhile, the Little Preacher Competition (Pildacil) provides a platform for young talents to confidently convey messages of kindness. This excitement aims to foster a positive mentality and provide a memorable Ramadan experience for the students at the Daarul Ihsan Orphanage.
"This is a motivational discourse for our children, encouraging them to be more enthusiastic. We believe that this situation is nothing, because God will change it if we choose to change it. We express our gratitude for this extraordinary friendship, and we hope it will lead to good deeds together," explained Triyono, the caretaker of the Daarul Ihsan Bokoharjo Prambanan Orphanage.
Daarul Ihsan Orphanage is a Child Welfare Institution (LKSA) which is a child welfare business institution responsible for providing social welfare services by implementing sponsorship, alleviating neglected children in situations of poverty faced by children. Their inability to carry out their role of care for children, so many families then place their children in orphanages or the current term Child Welfare Institutions (LKSA).
"There are 71 children here, 62 boys, and 9 girls, from various regions in Indonesia, such as Brebes, Medan, and the surrounding areas of Yogyakarta and Central Java. They come from diverse backgrounds, including orphans, the poor, and those with economic and social problems." broken home and others," explained Triyono.
Meanwhile, one of the Daarul Ihsan students, Syahrul Fahrudin, said that this program was very useful and made him happy.
